yea, i like it too. Question: how many users do you have? someone on this thread said that phpfox doesn't scale well. I don't have many users yet so am wondering what will happen when my user base grows

Interesting thread but without any firm conclusion

I have a slight twist on the original question. I'm looking for a social networking script that can be incorporated into a(n existing) site as part of the overall content as opposed to a purely social networking site.

In other words, I want all the functionality that SocialEngine or KickApps has but I also need a good CMS for the site along with other additional, probably bespoke, $$$ generating functionality and applications I want to build in.

So, any ideas on CMS and SN scripts that can be incorporated into a site rather than being the mainstay of it?

    Thanks

Personally, I like facebook.com. You can try phpfox too. It is quite user-friendly.

For those who tend to consider ilook a real customer and not a shill hired to blackmail a decent company, here is another website devoted to independent software reviews:
    http://www.mytestbox.com/social-network-software-reviews/ablespace-abledating-social-network-dating-software/

As you can see, these reviewers as well as http://www.datingsoftwarereviewer.com/ consider AbleDating to be a decent script.

My advise would be, not to believe hysterical shrills of the black pr guys, not to believe glad shrills of the white pr guys, but to EXAMINE the demos, speak with support, and read independent reviews. There is no other way to make a choice.

phpfox is not converting well for me. but that's business I am targeting business professionals and I have a myspace feel, which I think pros perfer a facebook feeds and simplicity.

phpfox is very easy to use, setup and maintain. no complaints there. . .
