Best Social Networking Script?

I know this has been asked a few times but I'm looking for a social networking script for a new project.

What are the best scripts for social networking?

Do you use one of these scripts on your site?

phpfox is good, have used it myself, clean un encrypted code.

Have you heard about Boonex software? There is a question in Yahoo on how to make a Facebook-like website. Hope it helps.

I vote for Social Engine - It was the easiest of all the Social Networking scripts i've used before.

SOME features do require you to purchase additional "plug ins" that allow your users to watch and upload movies, or create user groups, or you can also have a classifieds directory, and a TON of other options - really some cool stuff there!

Just about everything you can do with MySpace or FaceBook can be done with Social Engine

My personal preference would be Social Engine.

I haven't heard of elgg before Thanks you guys for the info.I was condiering using phpizabi it is also an open source,which one will you encourage me to use>it lokks like phpizabi have many plugins...

 

I suggest social engine.
But phpfox is the best i have ever tried IMO

Be Warned that admins cannot easily edit or delete member images or comments. Oh, and every page has the same title which is HORRIBLE SEO, oh, and forget about using the "solutions" they suggest - ghost feature will actually mess up your database and members will log on as admin... BUGGY STUFF!
