Best social network for traffic?

It would be great if you could post some referral statistics from different social networks. It would be good to get an idea of which ones are the best for traffic. For example, which ones to focus on when starting a new site?

 

when i was young, i didnt know the power of social networks. I started with hi5, friendster and other BS stuffs! .. in this era, you need to focus on two major ones! Facebook and Myspace, good luck

 

OK. I'm not young....I'm too old to understand the power. I still think that getting on top of AltaVista is the ultimate goal for marketing online.

 

take the advantages from groups, and friend to publish your site in any social networking site... it will helpfull

any social networking you join, but you must be able to put a link your profile and have many friends, also group where you can post your link that is it. that social network will get you traffic.

Twitter and stumbleupon. You just need to gain your followers. There are many guidelines tips over the net on how to handle your account. Just be sure you are participating. And not just promoting your site all at all. And you will get a good traffic with it.

 

MySpace.com have lot traffic.

Twitter is the best..

 

One site that has exactly what you are asking for is Twittley.com When you sign in with your Twitter login you can submit a link. It might be something cool you found on the net or an article from you blog. After you submit your link over Twittley you can go back and click on read more and there will be a statistical bar that shows you how much traffic has been driven to your site or link through your submission of the article to Twittley. It is too cool.

 

Looks nice but it still don't answer my question. I do agree it's a nice tool when starting something.

 

Facebook and Twitter are the most powerful. I'm experiencing some really great results with them.

Digg without a doubt. I've noticed that google ranks digg posts really high, mostly on page 1 or 2

FB and myspace are also powerful

 

MySpace has literally dropped by the millions in traffic since Facebook was released. I don't recommend advertising through MySpace as you'll probably waste your money.
