OK, so I used to submit like crazy to Digg, but it seems it's a waste of my time now. I don't get a singly hit from them 90% of the time. So, from your guys experience, what are the best sites to submit articles to? Right now I have my site linked into facebook, and twitter - it doesn't really give me many hits either maybe 2 a piece a day lol but it's automatic so I can deal with it lol. Like I said what sites do you get the most hits from? Del.icio.us? Etc.
there is so much hype about social bookmarking dying. Traffic source isn't same for every site. Yahoo answers is getting me more traffic than social bookmark sites. lol.
I don't agree with wwe9112 that Digg is dead, maybe the traffic from it has gone down but the link itself has a high value, pages get indexed by google within minutes after its Dugg. Also with more number Digg's traffic also pours in.
here are top 50 directories with very high traffic and page rank http://www.vretoolbar.com/articles/directories.php
I can't even seem to get mine indexed by google. Am I doing somehing wrong then? Does it really? How could I use Yahoo Answers?
Well, one of the best Social Bookmarking and Sharing websites I ever use for all my sites is always StumbleUpon. You add your sites and articles in seconds and it always send me good visitors, with good conversions. I don't think Digg is dying: you only have to use it well and have good information to share (this is the harder part, of course). If you make this and good socialization, you will get great visitors. wwe9112 you need to have some patience and divulgate your website and articles in the various ways we have available on the net, including Social Bookmarking, Article Marketing and Blog Commenting, for example. About Yahoo" Answers, the best way to use it is answering questions related to your topic and with GOOD and ORIGINAL content. Y! Answers these days is taking a lot of bad and automatic answers, so you have a place with high potential if you use it correctly.
So could I post wrestling stuff up on that ezines or whatever it's called? Is that aloud? It has a high page rank. My yahoo ansers isn't, nor does it ever, show anything any time I click a link on google for yahoo answers it says it has been deleted. I went to the site and it doesn"t have anything. Am I missing something? Doesn't stumble upon limit how many things you can submit to it from one site before they charge you?
I love social bookmarking sites that have dofollow. If you want to get more benfits from Social Bookmarking, just write high quality content that searched many visitor blog.
there r some good bookmarking site like digg, stumbleupon, buzz, delicious. ur sites rank will depend how much people r bookmarking ur site.
social bookmarking sites are now not that much of beneficial for getting targeted traffic. because their are lots of site who enter everyday. so it is just use for ping your link to the google via social bookmarking submission
i submit mostly to mixx and grazeit mostly for the link backs but you have to use the right categories there
You have to submit to lots of bookmarking sites which are having lots of traffic so that they are redirected to your sites and you can gain traffic. When ever you are posting new content on your site just Bookmark that Url so that users would come to know that there is something new on your website and they will be there to check that out.
Yahoo! Answers actually has a pretty decent wrestling section. It's quite active. However, don't spend too much time there as you're basically just advertising to the same group of people. Just do it a few times a week.
You don't really do social bookmarking to get traffic. Its just increase your inbound links. For traffic, you can try commenting on highly popular blogs and groups.
