I think we can learn a lot from successful sites that have a lot of return visitors, especially if they visit multiple pages on the site. DP Forums does a great job with vBulletin's voting option and using Ad Revenue Sharing. A couple others that come to mind are: Spark People - which is a health/fitness/weightloss site. They do an amazing job of keeping their visitors coming back day after day. They have a wheel you can spin in which you can earn daily points (like rep points), also they give points for viewing videos, reading articles, submitting your daily diet, doing forum posts, and much more. They even give a point for using Google Search. I'm surprised they haven't given points for clicking on the advertising links. The other one is Plenty of Fish, the free online dating site. The incentive for visiting is that you could find your dream girlfriend or boyfriend. The beauty of it is that it's free, so encourages plenty of, well, fish (visitors) to join, increasing the value of the site for everyone. He makes thousands of $ every month, according to a report about him. Brilliant!! What other sites do you think have clever ways of bringing in and keeping visitors?

namepros.com is another such site. they have their own currency system which allows you to earn then exchange them for domains or cash and services.
