if you want something professional i would advise downloading a free template from the internet instead, as they look more professional and modern.

    Yes, but are not unique....

I only want to know what is better out of the two. Feel free to offer suggestions though.

Which kind of business do you plan to use it for?
First one looks better but not for serious business.

Its a hobby business. CSS style sheets, small websites, network configuration scripts (KIXtart) and LOGO projects.

I wrote the grey one, and my partner the blue one :D

I'll throw in my vote for blue. I realize your final site is going to have all the content filled in, but I'd make sure you "squeeze" things in a little tighter (possibly add another column?). As it is right now, your site is going to either be extremely wide or have a lot of open space when viewed on a higher resolution screen.

if you are using it to show off your work as css style sheets, small websites and logos i would advise making the website more modern looking, as i wouldnt purchase a website to be built from a company whos website isnt particularly nice.

I say blue one, but you should not use background images, instead use css colors to color your page:) loads faster.

Well, yeah. I prefer the grey one because much more simple, and easier on the eyes. Thanks for your advice :D

If I have to choose, then blue is better for me - but at the moment feels like unfinished and very vintage.
