I used to use Shoemoney's tool but I don't think it's available anymore. Is there a next best thing with regards to finding out where a certain page ranks in the SERPs?

Market Samurai is a very, very good tool for keyword research and keeping track of your site in the search engines. Check it out

I suggest you use SEMRush (ref link) (without ref: http://www.semrush.com/)

You can also sign up there for a free account which allows you 10 searches a day with limited information. But if I remember right Shoemoney Tools were also Paid so you can also get a Paid subscription.

Agree with SenseiDesign, that semrush is the good tool for your needs. I'm using it for a half a year, and very very pleased. =)

Google "TrafficTravis" and download the free version, it's more than enough to get the job done as well as other great features.
