Well against all odds I was just accepted into YPN, and am trying to decide which (if any) of my sites to switch over from adsense. I have a health/cooking site (Autism and the GFCF diet associated with it), a technology blog (who doesn't have one these days?), a home remodeling blog (in it's infancy) and a game/movie/entertainment blog. All are newish sites with lower traffic - which might do better than good 'ol adsense? Also, can you use YPN on blogger blogs? I'm assuming that I can put it into the template but have some dark foreboding about it violating one of their TOSes.
YPN has been pretty much dead on my auto blog. True, you can only see the ads in the header at the moment. On the other hand, I did place YPN ads on web pages and had some success, but I eventually changed those pages back to AdSense. My net revenue went down, but once I began using AdSense nearly exclusively, it went back up again. Experiment for a week or two before plunging ahead.
use an ad rotator and try them all. dont limit yourself. see what works and go from there. sounds simple enough. since you are so freely sharing, which of these niche sites did you get accepted with? if i were hesitant in any way, that is the one i would start with first. of course, i wouldnt hesitate. test test test. congratz on your acceptance, welcome to ypn, welcome to the forum, good luck and happy new year. ps - if you have questions - search the forum - its likely someone has already answered it. you will find people here very helpful if you arent asking repeated questions.
I run both on many sites and have never had a PSA show - it has nothing to do with your problem - more than likely, sensitive content or no ad inventory.
??? clipplay does $xxx/day with YPN. Has been slower over the christmas break, but i know a lot of arcades that do WELL with YPN.
Thanks for the feedback - I'll give it a whirl on my tech blog and see how it goes. Anyone know of a rotator for WordPress that will automatically rotate between AS and YPN? I'm currently using Adsense Injection and it seems to be either one or the other.
