I would advise against oscommerce atleast. Its old and hard to update, customize etc since you have to replace all core files to update or change a theme etc. Prestashop, Magento (for large stores) or OpenCart are good alternatives.

MAagenro Community edition is good. My second choice is definitely osCommerce then prestaShop and opencart.

I would have to say BigCommerce has all the features I need for my ecommerce store and it's so easy to use and navigate through.
Probably showing my WP tendencies, but if you are only managing a few products, Woo Commerce is a great option! Easy to set up, and functions great.
