I will agree with jdef that there is no such thing as unlimited, any provider which says that usually has it built into their TOS that you can't impact the network or use x % of resources before they will ask you to upgrade or stop the bandwidth abuse.

Like some of the others I think a VPS would be the best fit for you, especially with the ability to upgrade and migrate with either no down-time or little downtime.

I also recommend focusing on your app, marketing and traffic and once you get enough of it, the rest is easy to handle. Good luck!

No it doesn't have to mean downtime. The upgrading only takes seconds with the right software and the resources available. To be honest it's not a big deal.

Ok, thanks for the info. I've only dealt with dedicated servers and there is always a downtime, when you upgrade to a newer server. Mainly because of the IP switch in the DNS servers.

    Google "Dedicated Servers AIT"

At the top you will see a company called AIT. ( AIT.com ) I have been with them on a dedicated server for a year or so. Price honestly attracted me first. You receive half off after 6 months. I pay around $40.00 a month for mine. Kinda basic for a dedi server but I use it as a VPN anyway. Hope this helps. Some of the other posts are good as well. I am a new member but I found out about a bunch of good hosts off this site around a year and a half ago.

Well, I think that VPS will be enough for you with future upgrading to dedi. When you are looking for host you should choose the one which allow to upgrade your accounts. My recommendation is ChicagoVPS.net solutions. Their servers are fast and prices are reasonable.

I agree with TheFall - it is important to have a host who supports upgrades with minimal or no downtime to your services.

Nowadays there are lots of reliable hosts available, but your host should provide not only high uptime and performance but also a quality customer care, I can name OurInternet.us as one of such hosting providers.

Yeah, I'll say go with a host who promises to cater you some help when you are freaked out! Just the way I was a few years back and needed constant support from the server end. VPShosting.com.hk helped a lot!
