There's a domain name that I'm trying to get and currently it's in its "Redemption Period" so it looks like I have to wait 30 more days until it's actually available. Should I use GoDaddy to "backorder" the domain? What happens if the person reregisters the domain...I would lose the $18.99 right? Are there any other registrars that offer a better "backordering" service than GoDaddys? Thanks!
Personally, I haven't backordered any domains, but I'm quite sure you get the money you paid refunded if they fail to get you the domain. You can't possibly judge which the best one is. Usually, backordering works more effectively if the domain was registered with the same registrar. Some of the good backordering service providers I've heard of are: 1. Snapnames.com 2. Enom.com 3. Pool.com 4. Godaddy.com Hope it helps. Regards, Nithanth
This is a very good resource on getting expiring domains: http://www.mikeindustries.com/blog/archive/2005/03/how-to-snatch-an-expiring-domain
