(Best?) - Server UP Time monitor script

    Hi,

    I need a free Server up-time monitor.
    Ideally, I would like a script because I have many sites on different continents so I could get them to monitor each others :).
    And also in an ideal world, It could remotely reboot my VPS if something drastic went wrong, (and because I would host the scripts it would not be such a security problem).

    Otherwise, would you know of a good reliable service that could monitor my server(s)?

    take a look at basicstate.com, the service is free and lets you have unlimited servers monitored. make sure you look at the sms carriers page. no use getting just email at your desk, when you can have it on your phone too.

    Hi,

    I had a look at it, and it works fine, but unfortunately the bot you use to check the sites does not make a valid request, so my script is serving a 403 page.

    I could whitelist the site, but it might be better to fix the request as I am sure I am not the only one.
