Hi: I want to buy a server. My requirements are: - more than 1500 GB Bandwith - At least 100 GB disk space - plus managed - unlimited domains hosted From where should i buy server in low cost. Thanks Burhan Khan
i used them managed and 24/7 phone, email support. http://www.hostforweb.com i went from VPS to dedicated and they help me a lot. this is only my personal experience. look around before you buy. good luck
Your max budget? How many and what kind of sites are you going to host ? (to estimate specifications)
i can pay maximum of $150 / month And my sites can have more than 20,000 uniques/day and can consume over 500 GB bandwidth/month.
This seems to be a good deal : http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=614120 (DP-64 ATHLON 4200+ DC looks good) Also check WHT forums dedi section : http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=36
For $150 per month you can get mad shit. Check out Aplus.net and Colostore.com - I have servers hosted there and they're awesome. I don't pay more than $60 a month either.
Well at Aplus.net I am using their value server: http://servers.aplus.net/valueservers.html I'm on their $49 per month plan but I have a lot of dedicated IPs so it's totalling up to $60 per month for me. Their servers are solid, have very fast connections, and no downtime. They really exceeded my expectations. I have a lot of sites on my server at Aplus.net that receive about 5k uniques daily and no problems with the server. As for Colostore.com, I have a bargain server with them: http://colostore.com/bargains.shtml I got the best one for $59.95 per month, basically the last of their AMD Athlons and they're great. The server is great and so is their support. Both hosts are highly recommended by me, especially at the prices you really can't go wrong.
One thing I can say about low end servers is : avoid celeron CPU...these have minimal L1, L2 cache and poor architecture. An Athlon XP/Sempron is better choice.
I hope you have seen my requirements. I need at least 1500 GB bandwidth. But value servers at Aplus are not more then 500 GB bandwidth. for 500 GB bandwidth prices are exactly fine!
