Best Server Hosting? I am paying for Hostgator but they keep shutting down my site!

I am paying around 80 dollars a month for VPS server from hostgator, I want a better host server.

These guys are the worst host, bad customer service, like they just shut your site down if it gets a traffic spike and dont email you at all to tell you why your site is down.

First they said it was my wordpress having too many plugins, I took off all the plugins that were causing memory overload, but this time the guy said it was a simple mistake and they had to shut it down for safety reasons?

I lost money from advertisers which is my main source of income because hostgator shut my site down for 3 days, and didnt respond to an email until 2 days and told me hello sorry about that we have your site back up there was just a misconfig with the memory file do to high traffic.

How can I afford to pay these guys if my high traffic articles keep causing a shut down? I lose a lot of money cause of this and they dont respond or update me on the issue for days.

I really need a better server host, help please!

Your best solution is going for a mid range of dedicated server, which does not effect anyone, as much load you have it just effect your server, as your own sites, and host will never suspend your site in dedicated, so just go for a server which can handle your traffic load

So I suggest go for a dedicated server, instead of keep facing problem with VPS

I agree with aassociatehit, get a dedicated server so that your traffic doesnt affect other users (unless you get hit by a massive DDOS which takes down the routers/switches/datacenter :) )

Looks like your website is outgrowing a VPS. Unless you go for a high-end VPS, you will have to move to a semi-dedicated server at the minimum.

Try Cloudflare.com service. They might help you alleviate some of the problem using their caching.

A self managed dedicated is a server that you manage and setup on your own, the name says it. I am quite confident that you can get a Q6600/4GB RAM and 2TB traffic for almost $80/mo. Look from WHT `s dedicated server offers.

Try weirdhost or knowhost for VPS. I guess your Hostgator VPS has at least 1344 MB Ram with 1050 GB bandwidth since you pay $80. So if your site exceed this then Dedicated server is the solution for you. You can find more details about vps and dedi's in places like WHT.

it may sound scary, but it also means no one, I repeat NO ONE, fucks around with you server or choses to shut it down or restart it - it is 100% yours!
