I've asked someone to write ... let's call it "content" ... about several KW-related topics and I'm wondering the best way to use it - for the best SEO &/or pager-rank results: as articles or as posts on my blog. I assume that if I submit the content as an article to an article directory, I shouldn't use it as a post on my blog, as well - right? I can't really afford to have duplicate articles written for each of the 5 or 6 topics I have in mind. So, it comes down to choosing how to use the content for maximum SEO benefit - including how big a "bump" it gives me in SERPs, as well as how long that lasts. I wrote a press release once and, surprisingly, a few days later I started getting inquiries (requests for quotes on small, unsecured business start-up loans) .. but then equally surprisingly, a week later, it fizzled out. Is that the kind of thing that happens with articles and article directories? Also, can anyone recommend 1 or 2 of the better article directories to submit the content to (if that's the way I decide to go)? Thanks, Richard
there are multiple ways of doing it based on your objective. you can post the articles on your site and then syndicate the article with as many article directories you want. this will get your article distributed and you will gain some exposure. google has duplicate content filter so make sure you post the article on your site first and let it get indexed and cached by good so that google identifies your site as the original source of the articles. most of your distributed articles however will vanish form indexing in the long run being trapped by dup filter but whatever traffic u can get is bonus. or you can use 2 articles, one to post on your site and other to syndicate with article sites. it is ideal to use all unique articles but if you cannot afford it, try to atleast spin the articles for about 30%-40% originality which will save the articles from duplicate content filter
Sultan nailed this one, there is no reason why you can't do both. I always take my posts that are over a month old and submit them to EA, iSnare, Articles dashboard, etc. to get some extra traffic out of them.
