Hey, so as an SEO I've been working on a few different themes for the last 18 months and after extensive testing I've got this conclusion... 99.9999% of all wp themes are shit for SEO. Sure there are a few that give you great capability but there are only 2 that can be seen as great SEO themes. 1 requires unbelievable amounts of php'ing. The other is pretty drag-drop simple (and actually got a higher SEO output). So here's how figured this. Wordpress allows a max of 80% indexed links with any given theme. Most themes run at 30-50%. Obviously premium themes would run higher % but they usually don't. The two themes I'm talking about are Thesis and Authority Pro. Thesis runs at about 69-73%. Where as authority pro gives you 75-78% of the 80%. This is good but it's down to how much custom work you want. If you enjoy php coding get thesis as it is something people can code etc. I'm more of a drag-drop php and have it working guy so I prefer Authority Pro. It comes with squeeze and sales page builders already, plus affiliate link cloakers and my favorite thing, an exit grabber all easily customized. Anyway these two work as long as you don't mask thesis with a skin, as it totally messes it up. Cheers, Adil
Yeah. Are you asking question or making statement to promote those two themes? There is no such best theme out there. It depends on how you expose it to the world. Even if you have best SEO theme, can you guarantee the visibility of the content on the net if you are lazy to update. Anyway, i agree that Thesis is one of the best, but not the best theme i ever seen or used. Just my two cents.
Hey dude, it's a statement because I've split tested with different themes with myself, clients and friends to see what results went where with all the same linking factors. Authority Pro 2 actually came out on top. I spoke to my friend who works for google's algorithm team and had them check it out and Thesis and Authority Pro 2 came out as the top two that were best to get a good amount of links indexed, which equals better ranking, faster. Thesis is good but what annoys me is it's customization aspect is irritating if you're not a php fan, where as AP2 is more geared toward using a simple approach. But I do agree - you do need to have a degree of work to get your content out there, thankfully it is easier. Cheers for the reply dude.
