What SEO software do you use? I hope the number of people using it will help me to make my choice! And please, if you choose "other", specify what do you use in the post. Thanks in advance
i don't use any software for SEO. i only use software for reporting. It is WebPositionGold (i'm using it from last 3-4 years). it is very good for reporting but it will also gives SEO tips. better try its free version.
Thanks guys for your votes. It will be nice to know also why do you prefer the software you name. I am going to purchase the best one And I think that voices of reliable SEOs are the best way to judge software
WEbCEO is available as a free trial. You have many options there and after using them you'll see what you might miss. Info you want to get from any SEO program: which of your keywords rank in SEs and what is their search volume (how many times/month searched in SEs) and why other sites rank higher. Backlinkwatch.com will show you backlinks with PR and anchor text (High PR backlinks are one of the strongest factors in SERPs).
Those techniques are old. No serious SEO will offer you submitting to search engines and meta tag generators today.
that smacks of self advertising doesnt it on subject however, Ive got to say that IBP Arelis quite competant for doing SEO grunt work, great for a quick turnaround...
I been using web ceo the free version for at least 1 year but the only thing that I noticed that is good its link and rank report but if you try the seo tool that they have it seems that it doesnt help me that much since I had a page that have a pr 3 and when I tried the seo tool for that page I got a report saying that I needed to change a lot of stuff on the page and the one that I optimized have pr0.
I use Web CEO too, for a long time really. And I am sure one can work with a software for a long time to learn all its abilities. Nowadays on-page optimization is not that important (of course you need to comply with the rules that are crucial for indexation and SEs bots following), but to gain PR and to get better positions you need to pay much attention to links. What I mean is that I wouldn't do everything SEO software suggests to do because I have brains to make decisions
I used IBP and it's got some neat pointers in it. Their newsletters also are very informative. In fact, I have an extra copy if anyone wants it for cheap. The retail price is $249.95, but I can transfer ownership to you for much cheaper. There website is at http://www.ibusinesspromoter.com/order/pricing-u.htm.
excellent poll, but i'm really curious in hearing about a standout piece of software that has the most bang for the buck
There is no such software that can do it all, in the best manner. I find that using several online webtools, Web CEO, and IBP is the most useful implementation. Depending on a tool isn't going to be very smart. Remember these tools simply automate the process which you would otherwise have to spend countless hours to do by hand. They're not going to do the SEO work for you. If it were that easy anyone with these tools would be able to acheive top ranking. The tools are only what they are TOOLS. Just like s surgeon has its tools, and a homebuilder has its tools. Just cause you have their tools doesn't make you a homebuilder or a surgeon. Atleast not a successful one. The point I'm making is really you don't need to spend any money on this unless your working as an SEO expert and need to provide reports to third parties. Your better off focusing your efforts on learning as much as you can about SEO strategies. Because all the features you get in these software packs you can probably find on free online web tools.
Web CEO, but mainly as a checking mechanism. The keyword tool does not work well though, it gives many false results. But for link checking and reporting to clients it does a great job.
