Did you know that when it comes to SEO if you use Google to search "Best seo services" your browser gets hijacked by Google and sends you to the search result for "Best seo services India"?

Did you know that when it comes to to SEO and using Google if you search for "best seo Company" your search gets hijacked by Google and you get sent to the search results for "best seo Company India"?

Do you know why this is?

Well let me tell you you.

This is because more people in India search those terms more than anywhere else in the world perform searches for the phrases "Best seo services", and "best seo Company" so everyone else for "best SEO services" and "best SEO company" get the hijacked auto search results for the phrases "best SEO services" and "best SEO company" and so Google provide the hijacked results through their auto-search function and it serves Google well as it gives them the extra oppurtuntity to gain ad delivery and clicks which result in revenue for Google.

This of course is detrimental to a vast majority of end users who had absolutely no intention whatsoever of adding the word India to the search phrase.

It also gives Indian webmasters, SEO's and internet markerters a unique oppotunity to gain where all other countries are negated the opportunity due to sheer volume as the only country with bigger volume "China" use Baidu search.

And this is what SEO and SEO services are up against on just two search terms and well you could say perhaps this should be in the Google forum and not the SEO forum but I though it quite fitting for it to be in the SEO forum, but what do you think?

Does Google auto search hijack these search phrases, this way for you to?

I doubt Google is doing or overlooking this intentionally to gain revenue from it. This is due to the way their auto search algo and the unconventionally large volume of searches for those specific phrases. Their algorithm is bound to have weak points, like anything else needs perfecting over time. And I'm sure if this were to be brought to their attention they might fix it.

You really think Google are that naive? It suits them just fine I think.

Still time will tell ... as it is open for all to see now is it not?

Google are not the all sweetness and light you seem to think though!

But further to that, you never answered if they hijack your search's on those two phrases?

I don't get hijacked. Tried it both for the .com and for the local version. On the .com the phrases with "india" do not even appear on the list of options. What you are saying may be true for some countries.

Interesting, that's one saying it doesn't happen for them then, let's see others?

What's you local Google then also out of interest?

I'm not getting any behavior that results in a "hijacked" type result or redirect. I really don't care too much for the ad cluttered google search results though and prefer DuckDuckGo.

That's interesting, perhaps like cosx said it depends where you are.

Funny you say about ad cluttered results though dvduval as many of my results using Google I am lucky to see 1 result above the fold these days on my screen. What's more I spent last week in hospital and used the hospital internet and you get no natural search results whatsoever above the fold using Google and all results are pure adverts. Was interesting to see what gets delivered in an entirely different environment like a hospital I must say.

Which of course means the search results are in fact not search results at all they are just crappy adverts unless you really put in the effort to scroll and look hard to find them off screen.

What I mean is that the relevant search results that made Google are now basically being used as the content to deliver ads to make money for Google and now Google search results are as Bart Simpson would say "pants".

I would so like to see new search engines more than ever now, but not too impressed by DuckDuckGo tbh.
