Please analyze this site- discoverne.com. If u search by keywords “discoverne.com” in google, it is listed in 6th /7th pages. Domain was with me since 2001. But it expired in 2004. I bought it back in 2006.

There are enough backlinks but Google is showing only 3 backlinks. I am not getting any Traffic from Google.

What is the problem with this site? How to do SEO for this site? Site is doing well in Yahoo & MSN.

Tip #1: Use text to navigate through your site. Not images.

It's very likely that you're in what's called the Sandbox. There is a sub forum under this one that addresses issues like this.

    Tip #2: Build links

Google doesn't show all your backlinks....only those of quality site...so you must improve your link popularity and use your targeted keywords as your anchor text that will help you to have better ranking positions with those keywords if a lot will link back to you using it...

Since you have registered the expired domain it will some time to get your ranking for the keywords.

your site will be crawled, update the pages, update the backlinks but still you need to wait for some time period for getting the rankings in such domains.

Use google sitemaps to see whether google counts the older links. the link: command doesn't really work for that.

The gap where the site wasn't active is quite large. That would be a problem for google to count the old links. Still, having them is better then not having them. Did you change the content a lot - from the previous site? That would also be a problem. If you can, put in content that is within the same subject range as the previous site on that subject had. That might make the old links more relevant.

Google don't show all of your backlinks because they are very protective of their algorithm.
