Apart from Google there is no decent search engine out there ! if its from a website getting traffic point of view, dont just think about google there is other search engines too and its an area to get a decent ammount of sales, hits etc.. i focus heavy on search engines like msn, ask, yahoo etc..

    I always use Yahoo!

because it's the first engine I used.

If Yahoo! I can find what I want, then will google it, finally Bing it.

Only Google. Other major search engine's i remember is

    - Yahoo
    - MSN
    - AltaVista
    - ASkJeeves
    - Kandoole
    - WebCrawler

The search engines differs in term of their Search Engine Algorithm and Database and Result Relevancy.
Quick time is also one of the important factor including the accuracy.

    Hope this helps!

Alexa puts google.com #1. If people are using it this much, it means google gives them the best results

Use Google, you'll get more than 90% of your search engine traffic from google only, all others will send you 10% compared to google. (Based on my Google Analytics Stats)

Google because it is the no. 1 search engines. And if you're going to build up your site, optimize it in Google followed by yahoo and bing. :)
