It's all up to you. Also, you might want to post with meaning.
I think Google is one of the best search engines out there. I don't like anything but Google. Ask shouldn't even be qualified as a search engine, and Bing is just horrible.

Knowing only one or two search engines will greatly skew your view of other lesser known, but commonly used, search engines.

Google is fine for some things, while yet, Yandex is fine for other things. I'll use different search engines for different reasons. Some are better than others depending on what it is that I'm looking for.

If I want to shop .. I'll use Yahoo. If I want to learn about technical issues, I'll use Google. If I want to learn about writing a thesis or want science, I'll use Baidu or something of that class ..

It all just depends. Some Engines will give better results over others, depending on what you are looking for.

Considering all of the indexes that are out there, for one to put their finger on just one as being the best, is a little narrowminded in my opinion.

Search engines are a lot like people .. we all have our favorites .. we should never confuse something we might favor as being the best simply because we might prefer to use it over another.

    True, True!

I do believe that the best searchengines would have to be focused on a single subject.

For example if I am new in London and looking for interesting stuff in the City, it would be impossible for Google to let me have exactly what I want from its xxxMillions results.

If there was a site offering ONLY results for every thing in London, then it would have a much better chance to be able to let me have what I need.

I also think Google is the best but before the launch of eZdia , as eZdia improves upon google by providing Expert and Exploreres with each search at one place and you may take help from the expert live via a chat ,if you have some query regarding your search result, which I think no other search engines have. You will like to have a look at eZdia
