Looking to make live videos of my screen. What is the best software? Paid is fine, but I don't want to do monthly. One-time fee only.
i use debut video capture software, good at basic level but also has advanced features like adding captions to vids etc. You can read more here ( not affiliate link ) http://www.nchsoftware.com/capture/
I use Microsoft Expression Encoder Screen Capture. It works pretty good. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=27870 And it is completely free. At the very least, try it out before going with a paid program. The only downside is that it will only encode videos to wmv format.
I've got a paid license for SnagIt - probably does more than I'll ever need. Some screens seem a little fuzzy but fine for my purposes. Theres a 30 day trial I think.
SnagIt is what I was going to sign up for, I have already done their free trial (4 times, SH! ). I was just seeing what else was out there before buying the license. I just got a new desktop computer and wanted to put a screen capture software on there for good. Thanks for chiming in, Sarah!
Camtasia. I tried other software, but this one worked the best for me. You pay up front and no recurring. The editing is actually classic and I produce great videos. Even the add in ability of photos, music, etc. Leilani
Yeah I second Camtasia, I have been using it for years and it's so easy to use and edit your screen casts.
I also use Debut Screen Capture and it has served me well. It was a one off payment, I think round about $40 and I totally love it.
I agree the posts above about Camtasia, it's really the best, i use it all the time, it's pretty easy, has many features, and it can record videos up to Full HD 1080p quality.
Hello I use Screenomatic. Its simple to use, very light videos and it's very cheap. For free I think have 15minutes time limite, but try I think you'll like very much Regards
Try Camtasia from Techsmith. It's the best screen recording software I worked on. You can try the free trial of 30 days before you buy. Best thing about Camtasia is its video editor using which you can easily create awesome videos.
Hi Matthew, I'm with the Camtasia crowd as well! Tried quite a few alternatives over the years but this software really is the top dog. Downside? It needs a bit of practice and getting used to the menus etc. but really worth it. Normally comes with a free months trial as well. Cheers Jon
I say Camtasia is the best for the money and is easy to use. Plus youtube has tons of tutorials on how to use it.
