There's a lot of information on the web as to how you can write articles the right way. It's best to do a detailed web search and find some free tips or either get a dummy book that might help you. Here are a few simple steps that might benefit you with article writing:

    - Find out what kind of audience you will be writing to and picture them reading what you are writing. Put yourself in their shoes and captive the audience so they'll always be coming back again.

    - Sometimes you need to pick a keyword and other times one is not needed. When using keywords don't stuff them in the article but let it just flow so that when you're reading the article it's all natural sounding. Find out if short tailed keywords or long tailed keywords are needed. If you don't know what keywords are or might not know how to work with them, don't do it until you read more about keywords.

    - After you've decided what kind of keywords are involved; do some research and select your topic. You can make easy "how to's" with just the subject you're asking about.

    - Keep the paragraphs short and unique. Sometimes long paragraphs might work but try keeping it within 3-5 sentences per paragraph.

    - The first three paragraphs always serve as an introduction. Make them catchy. If people leave after reading the first sentence something is wrong with your article.

    - The conclusion needs to be as strong as the opening. Trying to sale something? Make them want to click on that link! Let them feel like they cannot live without that product you're selling or..make them want to read more! Let it become their next addiction.

    - The title needs to include the keyword if possible. One kind of title that works is just with simply turning the title into a question. Example: How Can I Write Meaningful Articles?

When you're doing copywriting, you must believe in yourself and think positive about your writing. If you're unsure about what you're writing then it'll reflect in the article.

Other ways to make it powerful:

    - add in a list
    - provide proof
    - throw in some bullets
    - add in a picture
    - add in a P.S.
    - make a teaser copy
    - read it out loud when done
    - add in details but throw in some humor

Hope this helps you out some and the best of luck with everything!

    Kari

Google "SEO Article Marketing for Newbies" and read it. Lots of good information in there on how to format interesting articles.

You should study articles on this topic at first. There are a lot of articles in google's chest. Secondly, how you decided to be a copywriter. Dear in copy writing, you must have some talent by birth. If you can't write effective articles then leave the idea. You can do practice and practice. May be one day you can write well. But I will give one example from me. I sing average, (it is bad), so I never tried to practice for being a singer :)

Check out articles submitted on EzineArticles, you can get some ideas there, the site is pretty standard when it comes to their rules and guidelines so you'll have the assurance that articles there are good.

if you set up an account at ezinearticles, they automatically send you a series of emails on article writing. Plus there are tons of "author resources" there that will help you as well.

I don't know if gather(dot)com is still around, I think so. they are for spreading ideas through writing, and should have some great resources there as well.

Finally, look up the TheChallenge(dot)co Ed Dale offered some excellent advice on writing articles in some of the training videos.

All the above are free, you just need to look them up!

“The Queen’s English And How To Use It” by ©Bernard C. Lamb (ISBN 978-1-84317-482-0), published by Michael O’Mara Books Limited, 2010.

What is good English, and why do we need it? The Queen’s English shows how language, used properly, has enormous power to inform and inspire. Used incorrectly, however, it has the same power to baffle and bemuse.

This book wears its learning lightly, reminding readers how to use the basics of grammar, punctuation and spelling. It also teaches them new tips and tricks of style, vocabulary and the use of foreign phrases, to give their writing and speech an impressive flair.

Using hilarious (if unintentionally so) examples from people who really ought to know better, it shows where bad English leads us astray, especially in terms of meaning, precision and clarity. Authoritative but accessible, here is a book for anyone who has any feeling whatsoever for clear, stylish and accurate communication.

Get a word count plugin for WordPress that will tell you the word count on draft posts when you view a list of them.

Just a quick add to others' replies: take deep care of your headline(s), this is the first thing your visitors will see.

Good advice - we see a load of rubbish on this forum - people should think about, as you say - what the visitor sees first.
