Best register for a premium domain?

I have a domain I registered 10+ years ago that's up for renewal in a few months. It's a great premium domain, and has a solid web site associated with it. And the web site is growing.

I need suggestions for a registrar that has good, prompt customer service; good security; and is financially sound and well established. Currently, it's with netsol, which meets most of those requirements, but I'm not so sure about "good security."

Who do the big boys with the high dollar domains use?

Basically, I don't ever want to end up in a Registerfly situation with this domain, nor do I want to be with a registrar that could easily be scammed into transferring it.

godaddy is by far the most popular registrar.

Most of my domains are with it.

I think it would be an excellent choice.

Thanks for the recommendation. However, I have had a rather lousy experience with GoDaddy about a year ago. GoDaddy has truly awful customer service policies, and I'm actually moving my domains from them once I'm done.

You must be joking. Plus 35/yr is a rip-off.

Depends on what you're looking for.

I'm reallynot concerned about cost -- my concern is prompt, efficient customer service, reliability, and security. This particular domain makes enough in ad revenue that I'm not concerned with saving a few bucks on the registration.

OTOH, if you're registering a few million domains each worth a few bucks ... then a budget registrar is a better choice. All depends on what you're doing.

Leva, I highly suggest Dynadot. Great customer service and they help in anyway possible. I get discounts on domain registrations there so it is definitely worth it for me, but some are scared @ at the $8.00 price tag per .com/.net. The customer service is worth the money.

I have some extremely important domains with them, and I'm very happy thus far.

Unfortunately if you want prompt customer service then you might want to consider a smaller ICann accredited register rather than a larger register. A local established register with phone support in your local area might be a good option and if any matters arise then it is not so hard to contact them. Other than that maybe Moniker, Godaddy or Dotster could be some larger ones that have established well known businesses built over several years in the industry.

Good, you are already with one of the world-leading registrar who fulfils your requirement decently.
Do n’t worry about security issue and if you need extra security, then all you have to do,at least to update with a single fullstop(.) in your contact details at least once in every 2 months and your digital property is locked and protected from unauthorized transfers.:D

    Good luck !

    Yep,
    That’s exactly what I prefer !

    Moniker.com

Also they don't rip you off with $35/year reg fees & other stuff that NetSol have been doing lately if you've been reading about them

Might be the most popular but not the most secure & not with the best reputation in the domaining industry. Moniker.com is the most secure & has the best rep out there.
