I've been watching the dwindling returns and dealt with the increasingly fickle nature of internet marketing for quite some time now. Understandable. I don't blame you. I didn't believe it when I saw it, but it was free, so I figured, why not. If you have a decent "make money online" site with decent traffic, you can't lose. One thing I've found - and I hate to admit it - is that the whole 'make money online' demographic is mostly people looking for a get rich quick scheme (which is unreal). They are a great target demographic when you have a high referral payout and a free program; the conversion rate is unbelievable. Honestly, the rest of the program is shaky - you can make money, but the time element is a major turn off. I simply use it to convert traffic I already have into money that I was not making before.
