Best Proxy Script with low RAM usage

I have been having some trouble with my installation of PHProxy continually destroying my server. Does anyone have any suggestions for some good proxy scripts that use very little RAM?

I currently have 256MB dedicated RAM on a VPS, if that helps. May upgrade to 512MB if I do not find an alternative solution.

I don't think there's a big difference between all Proxy scripts. They all do basically the same. Load the site in the memory, and display it to the user. There might be one or the other that uses less functions to do that, but that won't save much memory... at all.

    Step 1. Don't hijack threads.
Step 2. Search the forum for "proxy" and sort by number of replies. You will find the massive Proxy Thread with a great deal of info.
    Step 3. ???
    Step 4. Profit

Proxies always need higher RAM as the usage of resources will be more .So it would be better if you upgrade...
