Best Project Management Software / Website?

I am curious to see what other companies / individuals are using for Project Management.

I have used Basecamp.com for over a year now, but really feel that it isn't worth the $50/mo for what it is.

What are some others that are used?

    • Basecamp.com
    • Trello
    • Asana
    • Google (lightly)

I use pancakeapp. It's easy to learn, and keeps clients happy.

All web development companies I worked with use Redmine, it is free, open source and web based. I am using it for about 5 year. Comparing to basecamp it is not preinstalled, but you can find some php-based hosting plan & freelancers who will install it. I've just made a quick search on fiverr and found $5 deal for that.

I've been using only MS Project for project management purposes. But I wouldn't say it's the best. It only happened that companies I worked for had Microsoft as a strategic platform for about everything. :)

I looked into PancakeApp and that seems to be the best bang for the buck! Way more features than Basecamp as well. Thanks for the info!

JIRA (Atlassian) & Mingle (ThoughtWorks Studios) are two other platforms which are worth a try. I have used both, including Zoho and found them to be quite friendly. Just do a Google search.

My suggestion is Producteev. Our sales team (8 people) is working around 24/24 through it. :)
It has unlimited users for free while many project management charge you tons of money.
