I am currently in process of rewriting my website's product descriptions and page text to make sure it is optimized for Google and Bing. My basic strategy is mentioning the Product brand and title as often as possible, without it sounding 'spammy'. Is there any other basic advice that other members would suggest, or is there any online programs which can assess how optimized bits of text are?
I suggest you do it yourself and try to write for PEOPLE, not for SEARCH ENGINES! Because you sell for people. You could boost your On-Page SEO by making your whole description of the product better for SEO (like H1 tags, bold, etc).
I have been writing the descriptions myself and yes ultimately i have writing it for the end user. However, i just wanted to know if there any program or specific technique that will check if it is optimized for the Google search engine. I have been using paragraph tags (<p>) and line breaks (<br>) but not much formatting tags such as bold and italics- does this generally help when being picked up by search engines?
