    Hi All,

I've been a lurker here for a bit and have learned some amazing stuff on these forums (as well as a few others). Thank you to all of the experienced members for your invaluable expertise and insight!

I am not new to the web but I am really new to the domain sales aspect of it. I started collecting domains back in '98 without ever thinking I could make a profit selling them. They were kind of like tattoos to me... I bought one and needed to get more because they were "cool"... lame, i know. Especially now that I have had my, "Ah-ha!" moment.

I have quite a few domains, some with some great keywords in them, that I might be unloading some time soon. My questions are:

    1) Are there steps that I can take to increase their value before selling them? (I.E. start hosting them, adding content to them, and generate some PR?

    2) Does the length of registration matter? (I.E. I just registered some domains recently and only purchased them for a year. Should I be kicking myself for not buying them for 3-5 years?)

I can not seem to find definitive information regarding this issue.

    3) Where have you had the best results selling domains? On forums such as this, domain auctions, or both?

Thank for any advice you can provide!

Noob mistake #1... I just posted this in the wrong forum...
