Best Practices for Landing Pages

    I have 10 landing pages running, I am having a hard time figuring out how to change the pages so that they convert better.

    I still can not believe that the ugliest page is converting the best

    1.) Will a short video explaining the program help?
    2.) Currently the landing page is made up of 2 pages, the first collects name and email and the second collects payment, is this the best way? My goal is obviously to get paying members

    We are starting to use an auto responder for emails, but it hasn't started yet.

    What else will help me?

    BTW I am getting a 14% conversion on emails, but less then 1% on paid members
