Best Practices For Exact Match Ad Campaigns?

So, I finally have gotten enough data from phrase match ad words campaign and I have been adding exact match results into a separate adgroup. Now, a lot of these are location based keywords all exact match. However, my CPC is higher than my phrase match keyword campaigns, and CTR is below 1%. I thought that it is supposed to be the opposite.

Do you have any recommendations for this? Should I separate each location keyword into its own adgroup or campaign? Do you think that is the problem? (Problem being I have all locations within one campaign.)

If are preferring to show your ads in different locations at a time, you must go for the option of creating separate campaigns for each region with geographically targeted ads and keywords.

What about this way. Campaign targets entire UK. So, the regional would be specific areas within the uK. So should each keyword be in its own campaign?

I guess it would make a lot of sense to do it that way. Because I can see how the reach would be much targeted an in turn lower the CPC. So, all I need to do is put each one in its own campaign. Any other tips?

You will get less traffic but better targeted traffic. If your CTR is low, then it has to be two things, your position or your text ad. Create several ads and test them. Keep testing new ads until your CTR hits higher.

We use to run locations based on states. It did not work well for us, but each niche is going to be different. I wouldn't think that having them in a separate campaign will affect it any differently. I would separate them by ad groups though.

Sure the position is much lower than what it was when is was being triggered by the phrase match campaign, but bringing it up will cost maybe 3-4 dollars more than it being triggered by exact match. :c

    Thanks for the suggestion!
