    Following can be considered as the best practices for ecommerce/ecommerce SEO.
    • Use important keywords.
    • Design with shoppers in mind.
    • Avoid cluttered, complicated URLs.
    • Use alt text in images.
    • Allow customer reviews.
    • Avoid duplicate content.
    • Create unique content.
    • Write for humans – not for search engines.

    Adding to LadyStarc's good suggestions: Focus on user experience. Make the site responsive. Optimize the site for fast page loading on mobile and desktop devices. Use schema markup. Good internal linking. Get outside endorsements from high traffic locations. Ask yourself: "where would I put links if Google did not exist?". It's about traffic. Good quality high traffic links "usually" benefit SEO over the long run. But, if you pay for links make sure they are marked as "sponsored".
