I just purchased a music video website, which will provide free music videos to users, and, I would like to keep it that way, so, I'm looking for ways to monetize the site.

Other than Google Adsense, what do you folks recommend as to ad networks, either pay per click, or otherwise?

I also just had someone recommend chitika.com I've never heard of them and was wondering what you folks thought?

Please provide thoughts, recommendations, as I respect all of you on these forums very much and value your opinions highly.

With Chitika, you can put down albums that are related to the genre of the music videos. It lets you select what albums to display and advertise so it's very contextually in the fact that you select the products it displays.

chitika is not for everyone, for you it seems like the perfect fit. Other than Chitika you could try to become a beta tester in Yahoo's Publisher Network if you are US based.

Am I allowed to run Chitika AND Google Adsense on the same page?

Sure. Why not? As long as the advertisement is non-contextual type, you are in the safe side. Note that the default chitika code is non-contextual now.

I have also had good luck with SearchFeed and RevenuePilot and am currently testing Miva.

I would suggest applying for both YPN and adsense and seeing what works best for you. You can use both on the same page by setting YPN up as non-contextual.

EDIT: WOW! Sorry everyone, I didn't see the dates on these. (ugh)

If you have high traffic than you can try clicksor or paypopup. Paypopup is accepting most sites and clicksor is contextual advertising for high traffic sites.
