best positions for adsense?

hey guys i got a pretty new site and i just put adsense on it a few days ago.

www.gamenewsforyou.com so i wanted to ask what do you guys think of the positions of the ads ?? are they good ? or should i change it ?

Basically, you should put adverts in primary positions where they are easy to see. If you hide them away, then people are less likely to click them, but if you put them somewhere that you know people will look, you will get money

 

I have adverts at the top of my pages in my blog and they recieve the most clicks.

 

For me having ads at both the top and bottom of the page generated the most clicks. You should look at the adsense heat map provided above.

 

I've always done good with AdSense above the fold, in the center of the page or off to the right.

 

try to put 728x90 banner just above the search box.

 

Put your link ads as navigation

 

This would be misleading and against Google's TOS. Make sure you read the terms of service attached with Adsense thoroughly before you place any ads in risky positions, as Google won't hesitate to ban you if you disobey their rules.

 

From what i have seen on my sites and from reading online its usually good to put your text links at the top of your content / text, or atleast inside the content somewhere near the top. Its also good with adsense in the left column under your menu or instead of a menu if you dont have a menu or have just put the menu somewhere else. It can also work pretty good with text links to the right of your main content, it depends on what kind of site you have and how the layout is set up.

I guess they should be more efficiently were google puts its adsense when you do you search. Top and right.
