Best places to start blogs

I would like to know what do you think are the best places to start blogs,in order to help an website (for backlinks )
i think the best is to be www."thehostoftheblog".com/yourblog and not yourblog.thehostoftheblog.com

I agree with your observation. Because google treats yourblog.bloghost.com as a different site. If you have bloghost.com/yourblog then you get link juice from the bloghost.com site.. This is a very good question and i would also like to know if there are any high pr blog hosting sites which offer the latter option.

 

blogspot is the best option for it

 

wordpress.com is great too, easy to set up, only takes few minutes.

I like wordpress over blogspot. On wordpress is more customizable, you have a lot of themes to choose from, lots of plug-ins, etc

 

blogspot and wordpress are good,but when you make your blog on them it will be yourblog.wordpress.com ,i need to be something like wordpress.com/yourblog

 

You're probably going to have a hard time finding a domain structure like that simply because a lot of people that had big websites know that they would be spreading some of their PR juice to those subfolders. But I'm sure there's got to be a least one out there, but if you do it probably won't have my PR ranking.

 

there are powerful domains that offer that.we just need to find them.or someone to tell us ..still waiting any sugestions

 

how can you say that there are powerful domains that offer that and that you just need to find them. If you need to find them suggesting that you haven't found them, yet how are you so sure they exist? It just seems to me looking for something or saying something exist or that something is out there and having never found it...seems a bit illogical.

i found that i get more natural links at wordpress be cause the tagging system. tags at blogspot are not that good.

Wordpress is the best to start your blog. Once you got an experince of how to do blogs you can go with your own domain.

You know, Squidoo lets you do that type of URL structure (Squidoo.com/yoururl). The only problem is that they regard it as a "Lens" instead of a blog but is there really a difference? And last time I checked, Squidoo did give you follow links on the "Lens".

 

I think Blogspot is the best option for free blog. Plus it has google backup.
