Also depends upon the specific domain extension you wish to purchase!
gTLD's and ccTLD's - you may have to look out for the best deal available since big names may not pass on good deals to you.

    Thx

I always use Name.com . It is good and recently they have added a new layer of security by providing a secure ID protection device, which you will need at the sign of logging in.

And the price of the domains and special offers are also very good.

I always use GoDaddy.com for my domains and for my clients... I have registered hundreds of them. Customer Service is very responsive, but make sure if you have an issue with a registration that you do be sure to call in to their CS right away to get resolved. I once registered a domain name and had spelled it incorrectly not seeing my error and couldn't figure out why the DNS would resolve. Nothing they would do on that one...

...also, be sure for a new registration or even if you are renewing a name to ALWAYS go to Google first and search for "Godaddy promo codes" and look through a couple of the results. I think a site by 'fatwallet.com' or something came up when I did a renewal yesterday so I used a promo code and paid only $7.50 vs. $10.25 for my renewal.

    Many Blessings,
    Jerold

For new domain names, I'd recommend GoDaddy or NameCheap.

For used domain names and auctions, you may try Flippa dot Com.
