Ok guys/gals. I need help on this one. I been scratching my head and need some advice. I have no adsense on my home page at kerryonworld.com as I took it off. I did so because I didn't want the site to look ghetto.

I tried placing adsense ads in the past on the front page but the click thrus were abysmal. I am looking for the best ad placement (preferrably text ads) on that page.

Awaiting your response and thanks for taking the time to look at it.

Why do you think placing ads on the home page makes your site looking "ghetto"??

Use colors. 336 x 280 Large Rectangle seems to be the deal for your site.

Try different placements and you should be okay :)

A 336 x 280 on the left column or in the middle would be a good one. You can even put a 728 x 90 right under the header or at the lower part of the site.

    Hope this helps

You can ask for some option, then only run testing to get the best placement.
However, this can be found at adsense help center. Try use rctangular ads, leadrboard or skycrapper.
Top centre, Content Centre, inside post, left top and right bottom are all consider good placement
