Flippa is mostly for established sites and it's pretty expensive, sold a couple high end sites there but low - mid tier is DP only.

You can sell it on Flippa but also here. If you can attract buyers, it really doesn't matter, trust me. I sold few websites without traffic and revenue for big money on Flippa. On Flippa you have a lot of serious buyers. On DP not so much.

Flippa huge fees would kill start up site sellers, $9 listing fee and 5% success fee. Moreover you wont get much views to your auction if you dont purchase featured listing for at least 2 times it costs $50/time you feature it on front page.

I would strongly recommend Digitalpoint as its free and gets good traffic to your auction as well specially for new start up sites.

It's not a profitable business model. The value of a site is in revenue, not throwing up a template on a new domain name. Terrible ROI.

DP is the best if your site has no traffic

Agree with others, DP if site has no traffic but flippa if established and making money.

Also look into eBay, I've sold a lot of sites on their in the past and still do.
