I live now in Missouri in the Midwest which means no traffic, only one mile to get to work, cheapest gas in the country and cost of living is cheap but it is boring since there is not much to do, or not too many choices. I lived in southern California before and there is a ton to do and enjoy but cost of living is very high. Traffic is a nightmare, most people seem to be very materialistic, most expensive gas i think. I lived in Washington DC for a while. Very much like Southern California with traffic and cost of living but people do not seem as materialistic, more historical sites, weather can be extreme. Overall I liked the East coast better specially Washington DC. What do you guys think?
You basically described it. Coasts= expensive, materialistic, culture, things to do. Midwest/South=affordable, down to earth(maybe too hillbilly), nothing to do.
I think Hawaii is a lot more expensive than Southern California. If I could afford it I would definitely live there. Hey Alaska is the US too. I wouldn't mind living there since the government even gives you money to stay there but my wife would never live there. She hates the cold.
I prefer East coast to live as there are lots of facilities and money at these places. You can live a happy life there.
