Hi guys, I have tried here, and have tried freelancer.com but cannot find a good native english speaking freelance writer for marketing/copy/newsletters/PR etc? Any other sites out there? I am not looking for the cheapest, I want quality. And volumes of it.
If you want quality, you are going to have to hire a good writer. It seems everybody and their cousin say they are a writer or a copywriter, yet their work is mediocre, at best. There are, "writers," *cough* here and over at that joke of a board, Warrior Forum, who charge $5 an article. Be prepared to spend, at the very least, $15 per article. If you want to discuss this, you can send me an e-mail.
I have no problems with $15 or more an article its finding the right person. Do you write? We are a mens fashion company.
I do. I also do copywriting and proofreading. When you are ready, you can contact me. I'll write up a sample article piece(s) for your site for your approval. If you feel that we may not be a good fit, I can direct you to other good writers here. There are just a few of us here, but you should be able to find one. You can also look at fashion articles over at Askmen, MSN, Yahoo, and About. There are many writers there you can contact. Though, they may not be up to par. There are just so many articles out there that are just 'eh." These days, it is just about skim reading, when you want your readers to read the entire thing.
I am more than happy to give you a quote on my services, but as a professional copywriter, I do not come cheap. Happy to write you a sample article for free if you wish? Just PM me details or mail me at Regards, Andy
No offense to any of the great writers that can be found on DP, but.... Based upon your topic, I wonder if it would lead you to a great writer, who really knows your topic, if you search the blogs for a seamstress or tailor? There are so many talented folks making their own items who would be able to talk first hand about garment construction. I am also finding that many of these creative folks are also quite talented writers. They might need some hand-holding or help for press releases but they would come to your project already knowing who the players in the industry are and what a french seam or rolled cuff actually looks like.
The hamburger writer begging for business is typical of starving forum members all too quick to take your money. It you want traffic and quality, and not just useless words check out InetSEO. The other alternative, would be to do what YMC suggests. Shop around with fellow experts in your specialized line. However, that means taking a chance, with InetSEO's proven performance and dedication. On a subject like this you need a skilled writer. The hamburger writer has yet to prove value. Reading his posts will quickly point out a person's character. If fact watch his reaction to my posting. To get traffic requires knowledge of SEO, sentence structuring, synonyms, etc. I charge $250.00 an article with top placement guarantee, however I am not taking any new clients, but know of those in Andy's price range. Review with him first, and contact me if there is not a fit. Thank you for placing an inquiry, and thanks YMC for some valuable points to consider. ---------------------have a great day---------------------------------
Sorry, but every time I read someone needs a native English speaker, I can't help thinking of this place, http://www.indians.org/Resource/FedTribes99/fedtribes99.html
We are still looking for a quality writer, I have started looking at the suggestion of finding a blog owner who knows about fashion.
Try to find them through social connections. It's the best way to go. Are you in an English-Speaking country? Try to find them on the neighborhood. Be careful in DP, as there are many unprofessional writers and always ask for portfolio.
I did post earlier in this thread - check out my site, www.inetseo.co.uk and have a read though the copywriting pages. Cheers, Andy
Ehm.... are you aware that your "WRITERS NEEDED, find available jobs at Got Hired!" leads to a proxy site? Off topic I know, just noticed it Right, back on track! Fashion writers. That leaves me out I am about as unfashionable as they come
Mate, you owe me a cup of coffee, because I dropped mine... shaking with laughter... after going through your post. Guess that I have to start publishing my own blog to showcase my limited talents.
All of the sites out there that were mentioned in which to contact writers, including offline media markets, which includes Men's Health (a, healthy, supply of fashion writers), yet not a single one is good enough??? Well, at least you pay upfront so the writer's time isn't wasted. Many don't do this. ... Hell, many magazines don't even pay a kill fee. Good luck on your continued search.
