I've been using guru a lot lately. Is there a better/cheaper way to get what I need, or is that pretty much it?

Well, it depends on what you need.
There is a section right here on DP where you can hold contests/ request designers/ buy templates, etc.

There is also Sitepoint.com which has a decent marketplace/ contest section.

Awesome, thanks guys. I'll post a listing in that specific forum when I have the privileges to do so. I believe I need more posts before I can gain access. I just found a theme that I like, and I believe I'm going to purchase it this week:
    http://www.premiumnewstheme.com/

I'll need that customized just a bit. I'll need "top commentators" "recent readers" and monetization (adsense, kontera) added. I'll also need my own graphic to go in the header.

Btw, why don't more blogs use themes like this, that are more appealing and have cool widgets and a video section? Big boys like John Chow and Shoemoney blogs look kind of out of date compared to this theme. I'm not saying that to offend anyone, I'm just really curious so that I don't make a mistake in purchasing this theme. Is this a bad theme to use for a "make money online" blog?
