Best Place To Get Static Domain Names?

I was wondering, wheres the best place to get STATIC DOMAIN NAMES at an affordable price? I'm lookin for some good places to buy domains and or hosting where both have static ips. Reason is, well long story short, I asked around and its what hosts suggested. I have an added requirement to buying them, though atlease finding some reasonable sites for that stuff would be nice. I already searched G for some, though I'm not entirely satisfied.

I was going to ask the same question.

    I guess I'll ask what's a dynamic domain name?:D

Are we talking about active/inactive domains?

Perhaps it means a static IP address.

dynamic ip=dynamic domain name static ip=static domain name

I'd be nice to have a static ip domain or dynamic ip in the californian area. Why you ask? Possibility of G picking up the site faster, and or updating changes sooner (like meta description and or title).

You're using the wrong terminology. Domain names do not not come static or dynamic. You're talking about the IP address of the company that hosts your site. It can be either dedicated or shared. A dedicated IP means only your site has that IP address. A shared IP means you share it with other sites. The site won't look any different to the user and I don't think it will help you rank better unless you share an IP address with problem sites, like adult sites. Sometimes a shared IP address can be flagged as known for spamming and give you mail problems. Most hosts can give you a dedicated IP address for a couple of dollars extra a month- but it has nothing to do with the domain name itself- and it isn't going to get updated any faster. You 'll can also need a dedicated IP is you are using SSL for credit card encryption. DigitalPoint has a tool for geotargeting the IP, but it doesn't matter if the IP is dedicated or shared.

pair.com gives a unique IP for each domain used.
