Best place to find volunteer contributors?

Hello, I am going to be starting a PC Gaming blog soon and would like to start off with a couple of other writers who would be on a volunteer basis at first, but then get paid later on once the site starts making money. where would be the best place to ask for people?

That's a tough one. Many blogs have started with the promise of paying people later "once it makes some money". Most times it doesn't pan out like that.
The reality is, anyone that knows how to blog, can just as easily start their own and make 100% of nothing, rather than write for someone else under the premise of getting a % of nothing later

There are some out there that may want to just contribute, but you will have to at least let them put their own adsense code into their individual posts or something as an incentive.
You may get a better response that way.
And then try posting in the business section of the forum.

I think you'll find other bloggers, especially if they are just getting started, would be willing to write for you if they have a similar niche and maintain the rights to their work. No one likes looking at an empty blog.

Of course they would maintain rights to their work, and I would have no problem with them putting on their own adsense.

Even though new blogs start with no traffic, that's still a good incentive and very fair.
I would think a few people would take you up on that.

Yes, you may find that people are willing to work for "free" especially with a few incentives that won't come out your pocket. Try finding some other bloggers who are just starting a new project as well and perhaps offer to trade posts. This way, you share traffic since the incentive is to keep the blogger's byline and maybe even link to their site. Anytime you need a service, you must offer something in return, but it doesn't necessarily have to be monetary.

What is Taringa? I have never heard of it. And I'm not sure about trading posts, at least with blogs in my field, because I don't really want to help direct competitors.

Can you use a niche that is close to your field? For example, my niche is writing, so like you, I wouldn't want to share linkage with other people who trying to sell articles and the like. However, networking with designers is feasible since good design is needed to accompany good writing. Make sense? Just some thoughts.

If you are looking for a writer, perhaps offer ad space for a limited time, a link someplace on your site...there are lots of ways to help each other out. You get the content you need, and the writer gets the prospect of a little traffic from your site. It can be as simple as allowing a byline from the contributor and making their byline a link to their writing site.
