    Do u buy domain name from a separate company & hosting from other one?

    Or Do u buy both these from a single company?

    For the domain registration, i normally go to either namecheap or godaddy
    But i'm using hostgator hosting

    I would recommend GoDaddy, simply down to the fact that should you look to sell the site at a later point, you can easily push the domain to the buyer.

    Search in Google for a discount code and you will get it cheaper but would advise that you consider the spec of hosting that you want, their packages aren't the best around.

    getting domain name from hosting company can something very costly, eg hostgator domain price is $15.
    This is when we get cheap domain from registrar like namecheap godaddy and dotster

    I always use godaddy for domains.
    For hosting I choose Hostgator or Bluehost. But sometimes go with some small companies if they have great offers.
