Hi. I have a simple question for you advertising gurus. On what kind of sites is it best to advertise a writing contest ?
On a writing forum if the prize is actually worthwhile. Successful advertising placements for something like that will be very directly related to the prize, b/c that determines who the interested audience will be.
you might try some poetry sites. the sites are usually not very profitable (I know I have one!) if you contacted a bunch of site owners of smaller poetry sites you could probably get prominent ad space. bargain hard. maybe also in poetry newsletters.
If you write up a good, non-spammy post that actually sells the contest to our users, you're welcome to post on RolePlay Gateway. Seems like just the niche you're aiming to reach.
