    Hey all,
Where do you all get your free graphics and photos for your pages? I'm getting my logo made for me but I want to make my own background, banner, sideboards etc

U may get some images close to your thoughts, but as a designer i suggest you to pay something to someone and then get results. Because what you want cannot be found exactly, it has to be designed according to the requirements. As what colour scheme you want? what type of template you want? what is the exact size of an image?
I suggest you to consult any designer.

You shouldn't use Google image search for a logo, as you will be liable for copyright infringement. Instead you can download free stock photos and images from sxc.hu.

Like someone stated above, deviantart has alot of good stock photos, you just gotta know where to look and resources as well. But I go to iconfinder.com for my icons :)

    Hope it helps.

Get a professional to do your logo.
But if you insist on doing in yourself, do not reply on stock photos and the likes. All you need for a story board is a piece of paper and a pencil. When you have the finished design simply try and recreate it in Illustrator or some vector graphics software.
Or, get a professional to do it.

Most of the above ideas, specially google images are not that good as most images are copyrighted and that can get you into trouble. Deviant art is a good place but you have to check the usage license of anything before you use them.

Dryicons are good too, but you are not allowed to use the icons commercially.

    Have you tried bannerfans.com ?

They have the most flexible banner maker I've ever used. It's free, give it a shot. You can change the size, colors, text, position, basically anything.
