I have 3 options: 1)%postname% 2)/%category%/%postname% 3)/%category%/%postname%.php For me option 3 is the best cause i would like to use top level categories plugin that doesn't work for 1 and 2 (it removes /category/ from url)
Personally I use /%year%/%category%/%postname%.html I recently set up a brand new blog with that structure and already every page is indexed: http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=site:veebox.ca&btnG=Search&meta=
i use category/postname but if u cant use that use /date/postname and if not that just /postname I havent tested any extensions and am happy with the way im going now so why would I change it???
Exactly the same here as Pipes. According to me, the differentiation of the categories individually makes your link look more organized. There is no best structure, rather its a matter of perception when it comes to customizing the perma. The default one sucks though lol.
i ever user /%category%/%postname%.html and it can make hurt because i want to change many category, not just category name but also category slug so, i prefer /%postname%.html in most of my blog but for some e-commerce site i prefer /%category%/%postname%.html because that will describe the product category
