    I have 3 options:

    1)%postname%
    2)/%category%/%postname%
    3)/%category%/%postname%.php

For me option 3 is the best cause i would like to use top level categories plugin that doesn't work for 1 and 2 (it removes /category/ from url)

    For me domainame.com/2008/08/01/sample-post/ is best.

Exactly the same here as Pipes. According to me, the differentiation of the categories individually makes your link look more organized. There is no best structure, rather its a matter of perception when it comes to customizing the perma. The default one sucks though lol.

    i ever user /%category%/%postname%.html
and it can make hurt because i want to change many category, not just category name but also category slug

so, i prefer /%postname%.html in most of my blog :)

but for some e-commerce site i prefer /%category%/%postname%.html
because that will describe the product category

date/postname prevents duplication and I dont think it hurts any with the Search Engines
