I'd like to know the best SEO permalink structure for WordPress.

Many say yy/mm/dd/postname is the best, but I'd like to know your opinions.

Also, I'm not only trying to make my site SEO, but the permalinks must be human friendly too.

Keep those points in mind and do let me know your opinions.

    Hi -

I like yy/mm/postname. We use that at WebHelperMagazine.com. I'm not sure the actual day helps, unless you have really time sensitive information to offer, and it makes the URL slightly shorter.

From my experience it's simply /title-of-your-article.html

Scott - that seems to be the best.

JohnG - But won't Google be able to really differentiate between static and dynamic pages even though the link ends with a .html?

Also, won't /post-title.html hurt user friendliness? If there was the /yy/mm/post-title then the user could easily back track to seeing the whole month's posts by just deleting the post-title from his address bar.
