Best payment processor

I'm building a site which should do about $500,000 / year in payments of $30 - $200. Not recurring.

Whats the best payment processor? Is there a good analysis somewhere of the leading candidates?

The only one that I've found is an old post on a blog: http://www.creditcardsonline101.com, anybody know it?

I would say its depend on what kind of product you sell.
If its deal with physical product then go with paypal.

Well, for that kind of amount, you should get a merchant account.

    Authorize.net is a good option.

I was well surprised with the simplicity of implementing a solution with AlertPay. It took me a long time to understand paypal IPN processing method.

You would be better off getting a merchant account then using a payment processor such as paypal. You could easily save 5k or more based on takings of 500k a year.
