    Hey Guys,

I have been struggling with this problem for a couple months now and cannot find a service within my budget that has the features that I want. Here is what I am looking for:

    Necessities:
    - Ability to charge credit cards over the internet, through emailed invoices or a web page preferably.
    - Ability to charge one-time payments
    - Ability to charge recurring monthly payments to a credit card without customer intervention or the need to pay and invoice every month. This one is vital, this will be the backbone of my business. My clients need to be able to click a link in their invoice, or go to a web page, and set up a recurring monthly charge using their credit card that need not be renewed. A set and forget system.
    - Must be less then $60 per month

    Wants:
    - Ability to accept PayPal
    - Accounting function (like quickbooks)
    - Less than $40 a month

Met me know if you guys have an ideas about this. Thanks.

It depends alot of the nature of your business to which payment processor may be the best for you. From what you posted I can read what you are selling, if it is a new business nor if you have any processing history.

If the business is Adult you may look into CCBILL, they are the leader in Adult processing.
If it is a regular e-com biz, and new, you may want to look into 2co.com
If you business has processing history and is regular e-com you may look into worldpay, wirecard, netbilling etc, there are plenty of options.

I have no processing history and I am selling one-time services as well as monthly recurring services. It is not adult. I have looked into 2co.com. Is it easy to set up and integrate? It is not an e-com site, it is more of a consulting business than a products based business.

Normally it isn't a problem to integrate with 2co! Depending on which shopping card or billing system you are using you may even find a plugin for the integration... most have such.

I noticed that 2co's fees are pretty high. Is this because they do not charge monthly? Also, have you had experience dealing with their support? Do they have responsive and helpful support? Do you know if a merchant account is required to use them?

@cory 2c0 customer service is not good at all. They don't work with you as a vendor and their fees are ridiculously high. I was with them for a few years and a lot of money went through them and they didn't even care. I would stay away.

We have a gateway that supports recurring payments and has a customer vault that allows you to store customer cards and then re-bill them at a later date. This basically allows you to manually charge and setup recurring payments or through an API allows you to do it on a website or software application.

As far as the invoicing / email / automation, your best bet is to find or develop an online payment application that integrates with the gateway and paypal. This way you can use both paypal and the gateway and you aren't constrained in who you can process with.

Google checkout is pretty good, but it sounds like you are needing more of an actual merchant account. You should check 2CO and CDGcommerce, I would personally go with CDGcommerce, much better rates etc.

I have found the perfect solution. WHMCS and CDGcommerce. Low fees, complete control, awesome integration and customization. I just thought my hours of research should count for something, so I am posting my findings here. If you want more info, PM me.

Yep, that's exactly what we use for billing (WHMCS) and processing credit cards (CDGcommerce). They work great together.
